About Southern Musings
Growing up in the south gives a person a definite advantage to seeing things in a certain way. Sometimes day to day life gets in the way and causes us to lose sight of how we were brought up to live. Sometimes road blocks come our way that cause us to take a fresh look at our lives. Through it all, we remain southern to the core. There is a difference between redneck and southern gentry. Not all southerners fit into either one of the categories. Those that live somewhere between the two have the best of both worlds.
I’m one of those that live in the middle. I’m definitely not high class enough to be called southern gentry. I’m not above being called a redneck. In fact, I consider it an honor. I’m a down to earth grandma that enjoys speaking her mind. So, grab a glass of sweet tea, a comfortable seat, and spend some time exploring the thoughts and wonderings of this old southern grandma’s thoughts and memories.
